How to Use the Priority Wine Pass for 2 for 1 Wine Tastings in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, and Temecula
Local Wally
You might have heard about the Priority Wine Pass that gets you 2 for 1 deals in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Temecula, and even Oregon and Washington wine regions. Is this for real?
Short answer is YES, it’s for real and it really does get you two for one’s. With most wineries now charging $30 per person to taste - and much much more than that in Napa where $50+ is pretty standard - it’s pretty easy to see that you’ll save money. Good for a year with NO LIMITS on how many times you use it at any given winery, this might be the best $39 you’ve ever spent. So let’s dive in - HOW TO USE THE PRIORITY WINE PASS.
STEP ONE: BUY THE PRIORITY WINE PASS AT THE RIGHT PLACE
You could buy the pass directly from the Priority Wine Pass company, you could get it on Groupon, but the cheapest place to get the pass is RIGHT HERE. That’s right, Local Wally has the lowest price on the Priority Wine Pass at just $39. Compare that to $69 on the company site and $44.85 on Groupon and there’s no reason to buy it anywhere else. PLUS when you get the pass through my site you get FREE concierge service from me and the Priority Wine Pass concierge. Passes bought through my site get special attention and more hands on assistance so picking wineries and building solid itineraries has never been easier.
Get One Pass only per couple - Most wineries will allow small groups of 4 - 6 to use the pass so if you’re coming with friends make sure they have a pass as well.
STEP TWO: REACH OUT TO ME AND THE CONCIERGE
As soon as you have the pass reach out to me and let me know your date you are coming, the number of people in your group, and any basic info on what sort of wine experience you are looking for. First timer? Wine Collector? At the same time reach out to their concierge (details on how to connect with her are sent to you once you purchase the pass) and tell her Wally Sent You and she will reach out to me and we will work on your itinerary together. Net result will be a stop by stop agenda using wineries on the Priority Wine Pass as well as any wineries on your bucket list, all in geographic order so you’re not wasting time driving up and down. PRO TIP: If the concierge does a good job make sure you leave a review as she gets compensated when this happens. Its a nice way to leave a “tip” that doesn’t come out of your pocket.
STEP THREE: MAKE RESERVATIONS
While some wineries are moving back to walk-in’s it’s always a good idea to call to reserve so you are not turned away on a busy day. Make sure you tell them you have the Priority Wine Pass so they key in the correct price. If you reserve online they often don’t have this option so call if you can but note that if they do charge you for two they can fix it once you arrive.
STEP FOUR: HIRE A DRIVER
I work with drivers who can either drive your vehicle or drive you in theirs. Most if not all of these drivers are previous tour guides so they know Napa well and all of them are quite personable which is important if you are hanging out with them all day. Just email me if you would like more info and let me know what area and hotel you are staying at if you know that so I can pick a good driver for you.
Coming with a Group?
Most of the wineries cap group size but there are some wineries that not only take big groups but will offer two for one discounts as well. This is NEW - previously wineries were very strict about limiting groups using the pass to 4 to 5 but now are open to much larger groups so if you are coming with a big group and want to save money reach out to me and I’ll personally walk you through your options. Do this BEFORE you buy the passes as the passes are non-refundable since they are digital and I don’t want you to buy the passes only to find out that the wineries you want to visit won’t honor the pass. Ahhh, just reach out to me! I’m here to help and can get you the straight info to see if this is right for you.
