By now you probably figured out that if you’re coming to Napa or Sonoma to drink wine you probably need to hire a driver. That’s smart, and really isn’t it more fun wine tasting without having to worry about getting pulled over or worse, limiting your prime wine intake!

But how do you know if the driver you pick is a good one? You trust me, Local Wally. I’ve been connecting my readers to drivers for 10 years now and every driver I recommend must meet my high standards. This means they not only have to be on time and responsible but must be fun people to hang out with - after all, you’re here to have fun so the last thing you want is a driver who, well, isn’t.
WHAT’S A DESIGNATED DRIVER?
A designated driver is someone who can legally drive your vehicle, whether it’s your personal car or a rental. Greg is licensed to drive larger vehicles so if you’re coming with a group of 15 or even 20 then he’s your guy. Overwhelmed? Greg can even rent the vehicle for you for your larger group. Best yet, Greg is one of my most affordable drivers I work with with rates starting at $45 an hour. That’s really good for a bona fide tour guide.
