Napa's Best St. Helena Area Hotels
Centrally Located St. Helena Hotels
Halfway between Yountville and Calistoga is St. Helena, the heart of Napa Valley wine country. You'll find vineyards surrounded by wineries, the smell of grapes in the air, a bustling downtown and restaurants, lots of great restaurants. This is prime time Napa.
It's also where you'll find the Napa Valley hotel you've been dreaming about, the one that's tucked away next to a vineyard with lots of local charm. There are high end resorts that are perfect honeymoon or celebration spots as well as small inns orB&B's where you can walk down the street for your supper and stroll back home to a cozy bed.

Auberge du Soleil Resort and Spa
Expensive - World Class Dining - 5 Star Everything
Tucked away on a mountainside with breaktaking views of the valley is Auberge du Soleil, one of the most exclusive places to stay in Napa. For many it's the fine dining that's the main attraction, serving Michelin award winning food that rivals the very best in Napa.
But that would be unfair to the resort which is clearly in a class of its own with fireplaces, suites, and rooms decorated in a sunny blend of French and California stylings. Often rated one of the best resorts in the world, if you can afford it Auberge du Soleil will not be disappoint. Top spa, gorgeous bathrooms and facilities, you can even borrow a new Mercedes should you want to cruse the wineries in style. Now that's luxury!
Meadowood Resort Napa
Expensive - Country Club Setting - Cozy Cottages - Golf Course
Meadowood was once an exclusive private country club reserved for a select few. But times have change and now everyone is welcome here - even you! The 85 rooms range from a standard studio with fireplace to four bedroom suites. Set among the pine trees, it looks more like Tahoe than Napa and the rooms feature every amenity you'd expect in a top resort.
Go ahead and live the good life with a game of golf, tennis or pretend you know how to play croquet. And the pool is absolutely gorgeous - no sneaking your cooler of Meisterbrau here. But don't worry about a snooty staff wondering whose parents raised you - Everyone is friendly and no one leaves Meadowood without feeling pampered.
Harvest Inn
Resort Priced - 78 Rooms - Award Winning Restaurant Onsite
The beautiful woodsy setting sets the stage for Harvest Inn. The 54+ guest rooms are scattered along trails lined with pine trees and lush natural plantings. You'll feel a bit like you're in a storybook setting, like a Disney movie come to life - is that Snow White drinking wine? Quiet and serene, you'll love walking along the paths that lead to secret gardens, and there are plenty of places to stop and just sit for a while.
Rooms are upscale rustic, a bit like high end cabins set in clusters. Complimentary breakfast, pools, spa service, and Harvest Table, one of Napa's best restaurants right on the premise with an excellent patio and great food at the bar.
El Bonita Motel
El Bonita is a real motel, not an ironic updated theme motel. Rooms are motel average but very clean, location is top notch, perfect for Napa on a Budget.
 Inn at Southbridge
Moderately priced hotel in excellent location. Rooms are good with standard amenities. Complimentary continental breakfast. Walk to wineries and restaurants.
 Wydown Hotel
Refurbished old hotel now hip and modern. Amazing location in heart of downtown St. Helena, walk to dinner and shops. Only 12 rooms, chic and contemporary.
